We can help disabled Texans with hard to measure injuries

On Behalf of | Jun 23, 2017 | Social Security Disability Benefits for Injuries

Some of the toughest injuries to handle in Social Security are ones that do not have any obvious visible symptoms. One common example of this type of injury is a back injury which does not affect the spinal cord or otherwise manifest itself visibly. However, a person can still be in severe pain even in the absence of any physical symptoms.

The problem with these sorts of injuries is that, since they are hard to measure and document precisely, they are also difficult to prove. Being human, officials with the Social Security Administration will be prone to assume that they cannot see it, it must not be so bad as to keep a Houston resident out of work. Thus, a denial of a Social Security disability claim is somewhat likely.

At our law office, we work hard to make sure that truly disabled people with injuries and other conditions that are hard to measure get the benefits they deserve. Although we cannot guarantee results in every case, we have represented clients with conditions like chronic fatigue, unspecified back pain or other pain as well fibromyalgia and migraine headaches.

Having handled disabled claims since 1991, we have served as advocates for those who have been disabled by conditions that are difficult to quantify. We work hard to help our clients prepare a convincing and accurate application for disability benefits and are willing and ready to represent them on appeal if necessary. All our cases are on a contingency fee basis, meaning we get paid out of your recovery and thus only get money if you get some benefits.

One of the strategies we like to use is helping people get to the bottom of why they are experiencing pain. We have discovered that if the Administration understands the cause of a person’s pain, they may be more likely to award benefits. We coordinate our efforts with medical experts in order to help provide the Administration with the complete picture of the diagnosis.
