We help those applying for SSI benefits with their appeals

On Behalf of | Jun 1, 2018 | Supplemental Security Income

Many Texans with disabilities benefit from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. This program can help people who may not have the work history to be eligible for Social Security Disability benefits. The program is operated by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and funded by the federal government.

Not long ago we told readers about the maximum benefits available to SSI beneficiaries with no income. Individuals could receive up to $750 per month this year, and couples could receive up to $1,125 per month. Additionally, SSI beneficiaries are eligible for Medicaid benefits.

SSI applications are not always approved immediately, however, and many applicants are more successful during the appeals process. We at the law office of David Dopkin, Attorney at Law may be able to help. Attorney Dopkin has over two decades of experience with assisting SSI applicants with their appeals. Our firm has an extensive background in helping applicants with all kinds of disabling conditions. Whether its a spinal cord injury, mental illness, blindness, or another condition, we have probably seen it before and we are always comfortable advocating for our clients.

The appeals process can be complex, involving a reconsideration by the SSA, a hearing before an administrative law judge, and even a court case in U.S. District Court, if necessary. Our clients know that we will be at their side throughout the whole process, advocating for their best interests.

We stand ready to assist SSI applicants with their appeals. We offer free consultations to prospective clients. We are available by phone and email. Our website’s Supplemental Security Income page has more information on the services we provide.
